And that’s the truth. Emotions are never stable, and your feelings for a certain person will never, ever be perfectly consistent.

It’s just the choice to stick around, whether good or bad. That’s when you really love a person. You never really have to stick around, but if you’re more than willing to, then that’s all that matters in the end. I swear, relationships built up and ran by temporary feelings are bound to fall so easily. We all want something “real” that will last long, but a lot of us are impatient and don’t stick around when it gets tough, and when the real test is taking action.

That’s the difference between short-term relationships, and those relationships that make people think.. “Damn, you guys are still together?”

This is why whenever I’m committed to somebody and before I ever want a serious relationship with anyone, I try to make sure that they don’t want it because of temporary feelings. They want it because they want me, and they’d do whatever it takes to keep me. But I guess sometimes things don’t work out your way, huh?

I cherish late night talks a lot more, now.
